Kia shows its Soul

Wed, 25 Feb 2009
People planning on buying a car with the new 09-registration plate next month may want to consider Kia's latest model.
The Soul has been described by the manufacturer as possessing the body of a supermini but the flexibility of an MPV or SUV.
Chief designer Peter Schreyer said, like all Kia models, the new car offers excellent value for money.
However, he said the company was particularly proud of the vehicle's emphasis on style.
"It will be our first car where customers will check the colours and accessories before they check the price," he claimed.
Kia also suggested the model would appeal to drivers who like to stand out from the crowd, as it comes with a range of personalisation options.
Prices for the Soul start at less than £10,500.
In related motoring news, Kia's latest concept vehicle - No 3 - is scheduled to make its debut at the international auto show in Geneva at the beginning of next month.
