306 2.0 hdi - will my ecu need programing - Rob H 85

if i was to put a new(second hand) ecu into my car will i need any codes or anything to program it i know some cars just plug in and they good to go, any one know if a 2000 x reg 306 2.0 hdi will be ok without programing. thanks. Rob

The Ecu will be coded to the chipped key/immobiliser system.
