hi i recently tried to fix a cooling fan problem (wouldnt come on) i relized a relay was missing so i replaced (whilst car was running) the fan kicked in then cut out as did the car now the car wont start.

i checked all fuses they were fine but i did relize that the fuel pump stopped whirring when key was turned, i tested the pump from the ecu relay / fuel control module(not sure what its called its a double relay behind ecu). i bridged pin no. 8 and 4 and the fuel pump kicked in.

could this just be down to the ecu relay being blown or is it more likely to be something else like me frying the ecu. i dont want to start throwing parts at things.
