need help... have tried to remove egr valve, but half is still in the manifold. how do i get it out......scared of breaking manifold.....they say renault have a special tool

Try soaking a kitchen towel in vinegar and wrapping round the joint.

Winegar dissolves most things. incl rust and carbon.

Leave two days and do not run engine...

Squirt some carburettor around the joint and try to turn/move the EGR valve slightly to get it free. Also use some to clean it out.
