Seems to have been a clumsy week for the girls in our office - two of them have had minor shunts in traffic, and they both need NEARSIDE headlamps! Kind soul that I am, said I'd try and get them cheap if i could. Trouble is, neither headlamp seems to be stocked by the usual pattern part suppliers, and the main dealers want well over £100 each! Anybody know where I might be able to save a few pennies? The cars which need headlamps are:

93K Escort Cabriolet (with the RS type headlamp, separate dip/main reflectors)

Thanks Doc, however I've looked through their list and it seems to be have the same omissions as all the other pattern part suppliers' catalogues, including both the units I'm after! I didn't realise this was going to be so difficult...

Look in Yellow Pages, there is a service with a website that will text you the details of scrapyards that have the part in stock and then supply it to you by mail order. No idea what the price would be for those but that's got to be worth a shot. I'd dig it out myself but it's nearly 1 a.m...

Not sure about the Escort but for the Carisma (how they must have laughed thinking up that name for *that* car...!) your local Mitsubishi dealer will have loads lying around unsold -maybe they'll be keen to do a deal on the headlamp and throw in the rest of the car as well! :-)
Failing that maybe a scrapyard may be able to assist?

Tried the Mitsub dealer, they weren't too helpful. I'm sure I'll happen across a different one on my travels around the country, it's got to be worth a go!
Bodybits, well the branch mentioned above is on the ind estate round the back of mother-in-law's, so I'll get round there soon. And by their website, their central distribution hub is on the estate I visit 2 or 3 times a week in RLBS!!! Can't get the partfinder link to work at the mo, will ring them tomorrow morning.

No need to go to RLBS for it... when I used Bodybits for a back arch for my car, it was ridiculously cheap (£15 + VAT), ordered on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. and in my local branch at 9 the next morning.
