Peugeot 207 CC - cooling fan - paulylondon

I have a recently bought S/Hand 207cc.

After topping up the engine oil,(did`nt overfill) the cooling fan stays on regardless of time

With the engine management light remaining on.

Seems to run ok with all fluids topped up.

With the phrase "Depollution system faulty" on screen.

Any ideas anyone ?

Is it petrol or diesel?

If its diesel then it could be the Diesel particulate filter thats full and failing to regenerate.It might be worth taking it on the motorway and keep the revs high to see if a regeneration takes place.Failing that its a trip to the dealers.

If its a petrol then the above doesn't apply.
