R reg punto 60 - Steering gone heavy - lin15
Hi everyone, just joined. I've got an r reg punto 1.2 60. It's not got power steering but has always been fine to drive. The other day I was out and went to turn right and suddenly the steering went very heavy. Called for assistance and the guy couldn't find anything wrong with the steering. He jacked it up and said my track rod ends had a bit of play in them. He said these are connected to the steering and this could be my problem. Like everyone at this time of year cash Iain short supply! My question is: is my car safe to carry on using? I'm worried in case the steering suddenly just 'goes!'
