Focus 1.8 petrol mk2 late 07 model - Throttle body problem or what ? - drogers

My Focus has done 20K miles from new always serviced etc etc had the dashboard say "Engine systems failure" went into limp mode, took it to Ford Dealer who diagnosed via fault code that new throttle body was needed this was done at cost of £384 this was last friday.

went to use car to get to work today and withing 2 miles it was back same problem

Has anyone any idea what is causing this as the dealer insist the fault code has to be correct and they say the new throttle body was a 'faulty' one.

I dont think it was the throttle body - can anyone offer any ideas.

If they're adamant it is a faulty new component, let them change it again for another new one, at their cost of course - then if the problem is still there, the issue lies elsewhere, logically. And I would be expecting my £384 back too, if the fault isn't resolved. Maybe try another specialist if it comes to that.
