Ford Focus Estate diesel tdci 1800 - engine stops and cuts of fuel on breaking hard - eddy the fish

Hi has anyone heard of this problem, occasionaly when i break hard say exiting the motorway the engine completely stops and refuses to restart as if no fuel supply is getting through, after leaving it for 30 mins it restarts, its happened a few times now and baffles the breakdown man.
