Hello.

Does anyone have any info on running VW's PDI diesels on diesl found outside Europe? Word is that the diesel fuel sold out here is not of the same quality. HELP!

Diesel outside Europe has (or had) a very high sulphur content. Sulphurous fuels produce a lot of soot and ash. Since you don't have a DPF, sulphur content isn't a huge problem. You might find the inlet manifold, turbo vanes, and EGR valve are quite heavily coked though.
