Vw1.9 d 1998 - Vw 1.9d crankshaft pully? Help please?!! - tony c

HI half way through stripping car down for cambelt change.
With the help of mr Haynes I am a little confused.The picks show four Allen key nuts to remove to remove crank pully.Behind is timing crank sprocket with bolt in the middle.Do I have to remove this centre bolt to remove pully?,on this model?Any help would be great!

Hi, i have the 1.9PD engine and when i did the cam belt i just had to remove the 4 Allen bolts and pulley came straight off leaving the centre bolt to hold the cam belt sprocket. Previous VW petrol engines i have done in the past are the same arrangement. Hope this helps.
