Volvo S40 - Volvo diesel- sound and vibration - BobHope

Hi,

I have a S40 with 170k on the clock. Great car and love it even though its becoming a rougher ride. Lots of sound and vibrations coming from the engine and road. In 2,3 and 4 at medium speeds it feels like engine is not performing well (like its stalling). When driving at 60+ the car is great drive and nothing wrong. What can cause a car to act so badly at low speeds?

An educated? guess

Being more of an issue at lower rougher rpm's
