Renault Megane CC Dynamique 1.6 petrol - Heater fan speed control partial failure - jacb

The heater fan stopped working when the controller was set to no2. Some months later it stopped working when set to no4. Is this a repairable fault? And will it require the whole dash to come off and thus be disproportionately expensive? I had alook through the Megane threads and could only find one reference to this fault which at that time you were not able to answer. I am very happy with my Megane CC it has proved to be fun and reliable and this is the first annoying fault I have had.

Very common on these for the fan speed resistor and wiring connector to overheat and burn.Renault do a repair kit for around £90.Parts can be fitted without removing the complete dash,just.hth
