Audi A3 - Winter wheels - Nicola22

Hi, looking for advice please. 55 plate Audi A3 running on 225/40R18 tyres on alloys and wanting to switch to winter tyres ... will 205/55R16's all round do the job? MAny thanks :)

Had a good quote for Kleber Quadrax all season V rated tyres which have the mountain/snowflake symbol on them at about £82 each fitted incl VAT

Welcome to the forum.

My Octavia vRS estate has the same standard tyres as your A3 and if you get 16" steel wheels the 205/55/R16 tyres will be just right.

My tyres - also Kleber Quadraxer - were £72 each from National Tyres and the steel wheels were £52 each from my Skoda dealer. You need to be careful with the wheels in case they don't fit with the brakes, and you may need advice from a dealer. MyTyres, a well-known online tyre and wheel supplier, couldn't promise that their 16" steel wheels would fit.
