Alfa Romeo - Steering Geometry - Newman111

I have just taken my Alfa in for a body repair after having a side impact to front right wing and tyre. Should they have offered me a steering geometry check as standard to look for any under lying suspension problems? I was told this could not be done as the front tyre had worn too much on inside.
