Ford Fiesta - Timing Belt change on 51 plate Zetec SE 1.25. - jimsayshi

The car's now 10 years old and has just hit 80,000 miles. The other month I changed the auxiliary belt, the belt that drives the pums and alternator.

Should I be changing the timing belt now or wait until the car hits 100,000 miles?

And what else would you have changed at the same time? Belts, tensioners and pumps, etc? Plus what should I be looking to pay for everthing you recommend I have replaced?

After changing discs, pads, shoes, auxiliary belt, cleaning the Throttle Body and flushing the brakes, I'm temted to give it a go myself. But am unsure as to how big a step it is on from the above.

I've had a small leak behind the power stearing for a little while and have been told that the washer behind it has been known to leak. So that will need changing too. But if I attempt it myself I'm going to need a specail tool to extract the power stearing unit.

What do you say?
