Hi All,

I have an N Reg (1995) Cavalier SRi 16 valve. She is running a bit rough atm and is dying every now and then. The revs will suddenly drop and if you don't nail the throttle she just cuts out. The ECU light has come on, it does this sometimes but has normally reset itself next time you turn the engine on.

But this time, no dice and the cutting out is really getting on my nerves and is potentially dangerous. A friend (part time mechanic) has offered to have a look but he's not sure where the block is - any ideas folks??

As an aside she's had a full oil change, new filter and new plugs just this week.

iether in the inner wing on the N/side and that is not an EOBD connection or in the fuse box by the drivers knee.
Did it run rough before the plugs were fitted ?
These engines do not like champion plugs if thats whats fitted ! they cause too much electrical noise unedr the bonnet and will often throw up air flow meter fault !
