51 saab 9-3 - saab intergrated display - davyj

i have a Saab 9-3 that has a problem with the SID. It is not working properly and Saab has informed me that it can only be replaced by a Saab specialist asyou cannot replace it with a unit sourced from a breakers yard. Ihave been quoted around £400 to replace so my question is............................. are Saab telling porkies or will i have to get Saab to repair SID???

I think there is some companies that repair these. Try the Saab Owners forums.

Check www.saabscene.com - there's a section dedicated to problems with the SID, and numerous ways of fixing faulty SIDs. Quite a common problem.
