Hi folks, can anyone help with a query I have about reprogamming a key fob for a Nissan Almera.

A couple of weeks back my key fob started playing up, only working intermittently and the buttons were pretty worn.

My spare didn't work at all so I bought a reconditioned key fob from eBay and attached the blade from my intermittently-working key fob.

I've tried to reprogram the new key fob using the instructions on the web (turn key from 0 to on 6 times, etc.) but the process always falls down at the "hold unlock and press the lock button 3 times" part - my hazards don't flash once to indicate successly reprogramming, instead nothing happens and the hazards flash twice when I start the engine after waiting for about 20 seconds.

Can anyone advise whether it's a fault with the keyfob, the car or my reprogramming - am I doing something wrong?
