Peugeot 308 - strange low pitch whine - sam87

hi im pretty new to this site although i have been following recent posts and have been impressed with the knowledge thats been passed around. I own a Peugeot 308 1.6hdi (millage is 33k) and for while its been making a low pitch whine from around the auxiliary belt area, i took it to my local dealer two weeks ago who said that most likely a new belt would be required although they had none in stock so i had to wait to today before the work was carried out.

When i picked it up earlier the noise was still there so i waited for a mechanic to listen and they said they're not sure what it is! its going for further inspection 2marrow as there is only two day's of manufacturer's warranty remaining. was wondering if any body here has heard of similar stories with hdi engines. thanks

Either aux belt tensioner bearing or Cam belt tensioner bearing. Useless garage.
