Honda Jazz 1.4SE CRV 2008 model - Honda Jazz Wing Mirror Glass Replacement - mickeymouse

Has anyone any advice as how to remove the glass in the nearside wing mirror on a 2008 Honda Jazz?

According to the Haynes book all you need to do it to push the top of the glass in as far as it will go so the bottom sticks out. Then insert a flat tool, ie. paint scraper or similar, then lever the glass out of its clips. Sounds easy!

I have tried the above but the glass won't come free. How much force is "normal"

Any advice gratefully accepted.

It shouldn't need much force as you should only be unclipping a plastic clip. Have you tried to get some plastic binding tape, the sort that is wrapped around boxes etc and try to pull gently, might be better with 2 lengths to get an even pull, an an assistants hands just in case it comes out !, don't want it hitting the desk
Was it cold when you were trying as plastic is harder when cold, any chance you can heat up the area with a hair dryer for a few minutes first
