Ford Mondeo - Cold weather cracked rear view mirror! - harrogate big vern

Anyone come across this before?

We have had some very cold nights this week (-14!) but I'm still surprised the rearview mirror in my 7 month old Mondeo has simply cracked top to bottom.

Anyone know whether I am likely to get it replaced under warranty? (I presume they should stand up to could weather)

Anyone know what it might cost to replace if I have to get it replaced myself?

1. Ask your dealer.

2.Halfords do a stick-on glass.

I assume this is the interior mirror? If so you have a claim under warranty. If it's exterior, forget it, they will just say you clipped something.

If it is the interior mirror and you intend to fix it yourself, it will be pricey. If it's auto-dimming, then think of a big number and then double it.
