focus 1.8 tdci - focus message saying bonnet open - ianfrench

i have reset my mpg on trip computer in car, and next time i started it it had a message on trip comp display saying bonnet open, when it is definately shut didnt open it between reset and re starting, what can i do to check bonnet properly shut and/or remove message - also, may be a coincidence, heater stopped working at same time. any help appreciated. cheers

You need to lubricate the bonnet catch so it shuts properly. Let WD40 be your friend.

If the heater's stopped working you probably have an airlock, assuming it's not just broken.

All sorted there are 2 black clips in the fuse box under the glove box, one had come loose. everything working fine now. thanks for the help.
