Ford Galaxy 2.0 Ecoboost 203 Titanium Auto - Loud Whistle from engine - mauricew2

I have had a test drive in this model & have arranged to buy a Demo model from a Main Dealer. On starting the engine from cold there was a loud Whisteling noise from the engine compartment. The salesman did not think anything of it. Is this a normal state of affairs with this engine?

One of my clan have a C max and that whistles chronic from cold but always has done and its done about 70K now, just the whistle from the turbo! think its a bit close to the bulkhead

Whistle at idle?

Avoid.

If it's like that when new, what will it be after 20k miles.

(Toyota had that problem onsome early Yaris diesles... it just got worse. They replaced the turbos under warranty.
