I have a 2003 2.2 di and the timing chain needs replacing, is it a diy job? i am a service engineer and change plenty of timing belts but have never done an xtrail. Any advise before i dive in
I'll be honest...it's not an easy task. Basically the engine has to be removed the gearbox off and the sump of just to gain access to the bottom chain and tensioner, and also to changed the third chain on the variable valve timing the cylinder head has to come of aswell.
