Hi,

Had the above car for a month now and it is approaching 63000 miles.

Today I went to accelearate in 4th and it won't go above 2250rpm. It becomes very jerky! Same happens in 5th gear - If I drop it down one gear it is fine and will rev to the redline. It was absolutely fine yesterday.

Any ideas what is causing this?

Car starts fine but does put out a little black smoke under heavy acceleration.

Think about giving the EGR a good clean at the weekend - do you think this is the issue or something else?
