Old Mazda 323, and when at speed, the wipers don't park, same when on intermittent. They get about half way down the screen, do a couple of lurches, then stop. They park ok at standstill, but obviously the extra drag at speed (it does nearly 70 you know)screws it up. Is it the relay/timer that can't stand the extra power drain, or the wiper motor drawing too much current causing the relay to shut down?

Hi
I had almost the same problem on my mx6. My intermittant wouldn't work. The best option I found was to replace the whole indicator and wiper stalk system.
Its not too bad a job (even easier if you don't have an airbag).
The part cost me £50 from a scrapyard.
Just make sure that it is the correct model and a UK car.
Hope that helps
Jonathan
