Honda Accord 2.2 CTDI - Drive belt noise Air Con ! - boxer42

Hi My car on tick over every now and then starts to make a horrible noise which seems to be on the drive belt, its like a dry bearing, but its not happening all of the time !.

Power Steering Pump, Alternator, Air Con compresor, my gut feeling its the Air Con, because the noise gets quite loud and then something kicks in and it stops!.

Would appreciate any advice.

its the alternator

Might just be the belt slipping under load & needs tensioning.

Spray some water on the belt when noisy & see if it stops making the noise.
