2002 audi a3 1.8T sport - traction control warning light - tester0033

The traction control fault on my daughters Audi A3 as posted earlier has been rectified by replacing the mass air flow sensor.Several scans all kept saying it was faulty but I could see no reason why that should trigger the traction control light to come on.Anyway it has rectified the problem if it is of any help to anyone.

Did the warning light rectify its self or did you have to reset the fault code? I have the traction control warning light on and have just changed the mass air flow sensor (as it was definitely faulty) but the light remains on (admittedly I changed the MAF and started the car for about a minute).
