ford fiesta mk4 51reg - replacing the instrument cluster - speedygonzalez

Hey all, this is my first post on this forum.

Im wondering how im able to replace the instrument cluster. the original one that came with my car only has the temperature light and no rev counter and not too long ago my cars inlet manifold failed because the temperature light had failed, car overheated. gone.

anyway, thats all repaired and ive picked up a new instrument cluster from a Y reg zetec, same car same model. and im wondering how to switch them around so i get my original mileage back onto the car. i thought it would be a straight switch over as the plugs matched and were identical, but the new ones older mileage had come up on the dash. so obviously not. any help towards this would be greatly appreciated!!!!

p.s. just forgot. they are both the electronic mileage clock.

incase there are any different clocks on the mk4
