Volkswagen Golf III - wheels nuts - corradovix

I have a mark 3 VW Golf and have just bought some original steel wheels to replace the alloy wheels! Can I use the wheels nuts from the alloys on the steel wheels??

I don't know offhand. Suggest you call in your VW Dealer parts department and ask the nice man to look up the alloy and the steel wheels and compare the nuts' part number.

Very likely to be the same, they are with the Polo. Ah, if you had alloys on the road but a steel wheel as the spare, then they would be the same.

My last Golf Mk III had VW allows and I had a spare set of wintre tryes of steel rils and used the same bolts no problem. Regards Peter

On a Fiesta,I was told it was OK to use the bolts for alloys on steel wheels but not the other way around;the alloy wheel bolts had built in spacers to spread the load.
