Skoda Octavia 2.0l SLX Estate (51) - No brake lighs at all on my Skoda - Chronic

The other day i found that all 3 of my brake lights have stopped working, i've done the usal checks, Fuse, bulbs. No other lights are affected - Indicators, reverse, fog, side lights all work.
Find it strange how its just the brake lights that have failed. Where do i start?

Is this something i may be able to do myself or is it a garage Job?

The Switch that is activated when you press the brake pedal, will be your 1st suspect here

Its likely to be on the brake pedal however it may be different for your car

If it's the switch, which is a common failure point on these cars, take advice before fitting a new one.

It's a 5 minute job, but there is a fair chance of breaking the new switch if you fit it wrongly. The procedure varies according to which version of the switch you fit.

Sheer VAG genius.
