Ford Focus 2006 - Radio code for Ford Focus - JD69

Hi, bought the car few months ago.

I have no idea what the radio code is, how can I find out?

Reason I ask is looking at getting a towbar fitted and want to be sure in case they have to disconect the battery to do the electrics?

Take the car and log book to any ford main agents and ask them for it.

Presumably they will charge you for it? Cant imagine Ford dealers doing anything for free.

Any idea how much it would cost?

£20 I was told some months ago. Let us know how much they charge, I stll haven't got around to it.

Look on the internet for Radio Codes. Thee are many around and charge around a fiver.

Oh yes, I'd forgotten that.

You'd need the serial number from the radio and to get that you need to buy 4 release keys from E-bay or somewhere.

By the time you buy the keys, pay postage, pay for the code, wait for delivery you might as well take it to Fords today, get them to do it and swallow £20.

Hi Jason,

I had the same problem with my Ford Transit Connect, all I did was drive to my local Ford dealer (I forgot to bring my Logbook). One of their guys came out to my van and got the code off the back of the radio, entered it into his system and gave me the code, I think it cost me £15 and took about 15 minutes in total.
