My car is intermitantly loosing power. Put your foot down and nothing happens. Be gentle and it will potter along in a jerky fashion but sometime at 15mph especially uphill.

As the diagnostic is clear my local Renault garage are mystified. Even the usual Renault trained but not so expensive Renault expert cannot help.

I am being told to replace the gearbox oil at £80 ltr total cost £400. Or a new gear box at £2000 or......

This car has done 150,000 miles and is on its second engine from 80,000. No new gearbox or clutch though.

Any ideas anyone please?
