Ford Mondeo IV 2.2 tdci - reset service light - spawney

Help,any one know how to reset service light. its had its first service at fords but i use it as a cab so it will be out of warranty p.d.q i then intend to service it myself, i did it with my old mk3 and squeezed 330k out of it the guy i sold it to still thinks its great. any tips on servicing appreciated. i would rather service it myself than keep paying the local blue oval nosferatu (bloodsucking undead )

Ford Mondeo IV 2.2 tdci - reset service light - craig-pd130

As the basic engine is shared with Citroen and Peugeot then there should be a Haynes for it at some point, which will give all the capacities and timing belt intervals, etc.

On the 2.0 TDCi the timing belt is 100K miles or 8 years if I remember right.

Switch on the ignition (don't start the engine) and press and hold the brake and accellerator pedal down for 15 seconds, a chime should confirm that the action is complete.

Hi gents, spawney here, thankyou Kith & Craig for the much valued info. Nice to find chaps who dont mind sharing knowledge. if there were more people like yourselves the motoring world would be a cheaper place.
