Vauxhall Corsa C - Rear wiper arm removal - bathtub tom

Daughter's boyfriend had his rear wiper arm ripped off. i've had a go at removing what's left, but because it's fitted through glass i'm reluctant to apply too much force or impact load.

the new one looks like it's a plain brass taper.

any suggestions welcome please, other than taking hacksaw blade to it?

there is a slightly cheaper Draper item that does the same thing.

thanks for that.

i expect he'd rather see me work away with a saw than spend that sort of money.

he might well find himself being sent to a real professional.

i had a similar problem myself a few weeks ago with a Meriva. a steady few minutes with a small hacksaw down the side of the retaining nut soon resolved the problem. if i'd thought about it properly i'd have taped the ends of the blades in cloth before i began just to make sure that i didn't catch the paintwork.

it was very easy although a little worrying!
