97 1.3 Door locks?? - bangers
Hi

I have a problem with my door locks on my mk4
the doors will lock and open fine but if you lock the doors
then lift the handles to check they are locked you cant
open them from the out side and i have had to climb
thru the boot a few times to open the car.
any help would be great.

Surely this is correct? If you've locked the doors, then you won't be able to open the doors by lifting the handle.

if i lock the doors from the outside with the key they lock. if you lift the handle and release it then try to unlock the door with the key it wont unlock it dead locks. the catch inside does not move when you turn the key. but it will open from inside. and if you flick the inside catch as you turn the key in the lock it will right itself ??
i have no idea why it is doing this

still no luck with these locks i`ve had the door skins off but the
locks look a ok everything it going to where it should be
any ideas???
