02 2.0 Cannot open RH rear door - autumnboy

I cannot open the RH rear door from the outside or inside of my 52 reg car. It has not been used for awhile.

All the other doors and boot are OK.

Is there a way to release the lock/catch, or is it possible to get the interior door card off to get at the lock/catch and linkage while the door is closed.

Also is this a MOT failure. ??

Reason for rejection

b. a driver's or front passenger's door cannot be opened from both inside and outside the vehicle from the relevant control in each case.

No mention of rear doors, only front ones.

Its due for MOT next week, so if I can't fix the door by then I'll try it through the MOT and see what happens.

It looks if I will have to try and get the rubber surround seal off, then try with the door interior panel popping tool (Snake tongue). If that don't work then it looks if the panel will have to be broken/forced, to get it off.

Thats unless anyone knows another way.
