Hi all

I've got a 306 D-turbo and the remote central locking is playing up. I've replaced the batteries in the fob and reprogrammed it but it still won't do anything when I press either of the buttons. I reckon it is the reciever that is faulty but I can't get the roof console off to look at it. Can anyone tell me how to get it off? It's the smaller console without the sunroof controls btw

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I can't see any way to get it off :(

Is the keyfob the infra-red type? If so, try pointing the LED sensor at a digital camera. If working, you'll see the flashes on the camera's screen. At least this way you can eliminate whether it is the fob or the receiver in the roof console that is at fault.

The fob doesn't seem to be making any flashes on the screen, although the red LED flashes. I'll check it with some more cameras (and cars if I'm lucky) before I write it off :)
Even if it is the fob, not being able to get the roof console off is annoying me now lol
