1998 1.6 Strange starting behaviour - anton78bon
My car have strange behaviour on starting when the engine is cold. Its always fail on first attemp to start and have no problem at all at second try, just smooth and normal. I have to do this.

1. Turn the key to M (ignition) till it ready (the tripmeter already show).
2. Turn The key Off
3. Turn the key to M (ignition again), till it ready and start. Then doing just fine.

Then after the engine start and I turn it off again, and then when I try to start it again it has no problem at all, start at the first attemp.

Any Idea what is happening ???

Each time your turn the key the fuel pump primes, so my guess is the problem is with fueling, first stop fuel filter then on from there..

sorry, but what do you mean by stop fuel filter then on from there ???

how do I stop fuel fuel filter then on it again ??

do u think the fuel pump is the problem ??
