Peugeot 307 (2001 - 2007) - 02 2.0 Electrical fault on dash board

02 2.0 Electrical fault on dash board - Geoffm
Need some help please,

My 307 hdi has developed a strange habit of both the rev counter and speedo needles plus the temp and fuel gauge needles returning to start positions whilst driving, then within a few seconds returning back to correct readings.
As soon as this happens the red stop light comes on and of course goes off when the needles return to reading correctly.
No other electrics on the car fail ie lights, wipers, fan, indicators.
So any body else had this ? or andone tell me where to start looking for the fault.

Nice one macavity, shall contact them in the new year and most likely take out the unit and send it off to them.
