my a4 tdi showed 2 faults maf and boost preassure sensor ,ive replaced both , still no boost ,do i need to get the faults reset to allow new parts to work ?

Did you drive it for, say, 1-2 miles? This might automatically reset the errors in your ECU, although I cannot see why the problem should persist. The logged faults are a consequence of the problem, so if it is solved, the problem should not manifest itself anymore just because the ECU recorded a past problem with components that have been replaced. Check that the pressure sensor has been fitted correctly and is not leaking!
