Diesel fuel filter replacement - Robin the Technician
Looks like I've got to service my Son's Mazda 6 diesel this weekend, so i need to know if and how i bleed the system after changing the fuel filter. Is it self bleeding like my Peugeot or is there a bleed screw I need to undo?

Many thanks in advance

Diesel fuel filter replacement - Andrew Moorey (Tune-Up)
Not the easiest one to change as the battery has to come out, its tucked under the scuttle on the firewall. When you refit the new filter fill it with fresh diesel first then when you start up keep the revs above 3000 for about 30 secs. I usually do this job first so the engine is not trying to build up oil pressure after draining the sump from the service if you follow my drift.
