04 2.0 Engine loses power after 40 mins - Gribster
Hi,

first post to forum so I hope this is correct.

I have a Mazda 6 sport 2ltr 04 reg, which starts fine, but after about 40 minutes, it start losing power, and when I stop at the lights and run in idle the engine management lights come on and it won't rev over 1500 rpm. This is easily cured by reseting battery. The car then sounds like it's missing.

I have taken this to my local mazda dealer, who can find no fault on the computers :-( they have since changed 2 injectors 2/3 and this has not cured the problem either. The car is at a local garage now and they can also not see what is causing the error.

Any help or suggestions would be of great help

Its possible the cat is blocked.
