09 1.4 Notchy gear change between 1st and 2nd - heathjt
Hi - can anyone help solve my notchy gear change problem when changing from 1st-2nd on my nearly new Fiesta? Its 6 mths old. Could it just use some oil or is it something more serious? Thanks

I agree. The luxury of a new car is not having to worry about stuff like this. The car is under warranty and can be put right for nothing, and at minimal inconvenience to you.

It will also log this on the Ford service computer, so if you have any related problems later on out of warranty, it may strengthen any goodwill case from Ford.

Book it in and get it checked out.

I haven't owned it from new, i'm the 2nd owner (technically!). I bought it about 3 weeks ago from a well known car supermarket, i think it was an ex hire car - will this make any difference to me returning it to them for repair? I'm concerned as in some other forums i've read bad stuff about their aftercare {In which case, I'll remove their name from your post - DD}. I can only ask them I suppose but any advice is gratefully received! Thanks

It's still covered by the manufacturer's warranty so take it to a Ford dealer.
