Mondeo heated rear screen

Mondeo heated rear screen - 03yate
I've got a P-reg MK2 Ford Mondeo GLX TD. The rear heated screen has stopped working & so has the wash/wipe on the front screen. Would the rear screen heater relay have anything to do with this?
Both stopped working at the same time. All other electrics working fine ????? Can anyone advise? Cheers

Yep, both fuses 7.5A & 30A all ok, checked earth straps etc too, I think I'll try the relay next, just found out that a defective back window heater can effect the central timer module which contains the time control elements for the heated rear window & intermittent wiper operation.

One of my friends is an independent garage owner. He told me of a customer with a Granada where a faulty rear window heater caused a misfire because of the interdependency between various elements of the car's electronic systems.
