06 2.0d Reset Computer After Oil/Filter Change - smiffy12
Having read all the troubles about DPF's and all, I've decided to change the oil and filter myself after 6000 miles between dealer services. I gather that somehow I need to tell the computer the oil and filter have been changed.

Is there a way I can do this, has anyone else experience of this? I'm guessing there must be a way to do it, I certainly couldn't afford the luxury of additional main delaer oil changes :-)

Hopefully someone can help

Many thanks in advance for looking

I would have thought something needs plugging in to the ECU. There were one or two Mazda people on here at one time but they went a little quiet.

the only way to reset the oil degredation/ level meter is to plug in the mazda computer. you shuld only need to reset at 12000 miles so long as the dexelia spec oil is used hope this helps
