Just changed the fuel filter on my accord and it has a device to prime the fuel through, which you pump did that and it starts and runs fine, but if i leave the car for a few hours it wont start untill i prime it again !!

You have air in the system with Honda you need use a suction pump connected to the filter to draw the fuel through properly a nice AA man did it for me when I decided to change the filter at my mothers .

Just changed my diesel filter a few days ago without pre-filling, simply used the hand priming pump until it felt hard to squeeze and it started first time. Manual suggests to run at something like 2,000 rev's for 5 mins or so to ensure all air bled.

No problems.
