ALLEGEDLY
sort of hard to not name the company , when i have to link to the document
Its all to do with scrap metal and the price they got , and handed over.
this doccy was well hidden on the internet
www.employment-relations.co.uk/pages/toplissvncp.p...f
dated dec 2008
however , another well hidden document (from the public) , states
" A parliamentary answer on 2nd February 2009 said that all revenue due had now been received by the DVLA (Hansard HC on 2nd Feb 2009 col 867W)"
so they eventually paid this back?
this had been going on for a long time , wonder if this court case had not have happened , it would still be going on?.

Classic treatment of a whistleblower.
Guy tries to make sure the public purse gets what it's due and they sack him for rocking the boat.
At least the employment tribunal wasn't taken in, which restores some faith in 'the system'.
By the way freddy, ever thought of working as a journalist?

Classic treatment of a whistleblower.
Yes, in accordance with a long-standing tradition.

Although he was awarded around £162,000 in compensation, the company was ordered to contribute only £3000 to the mans legal expenses. I wonder how much they were?

I wonder how much they were?
I think it said he represented himself (which seems incredibly risky for such a chunky claim) so I guess there would have been fees for advice etc.

a lot of people have missed something that was in the origional docuament?
what about "NCP" claiming for 3 vans that they did not have?
hansard , quietly forgets that , or should the directors have been charged with fraud?

Have had problems scrolling the attachment
can somebody please summise what the crime was , from the replies I find it hard to work out what happened , why would a parking firm pay DVLA for scrap metal ?
|
...can somebody please summise what the crime was...
No crime.
The DVLA had a contract with the company to scrap seized cars.
Scrap rose in price, but the company did not pass on the rise, the tribunal found.
A manager at the company refused to go along with this and was sacked - see my post above.
