Hello,

A year ago I fixed the over-revving problem by adjusting the TPS but still the idle is not behaving well. It's not the TPS I guess because I can set it 0.8 - 0.4 V and it makes no difference. The symptoms are:

- when starting and driving cold the idle is fine
- on some days the idle is fine
- if I drive on a highway with more (throttle) the idle takes some time to settle down (but not over-revving)
- it seems that after removing the battery and connecting it again the idle behaves fine for a few days


What could it be, the computer?

many threads on this hd do a forum search
it could be as simple as a rip in an air hose that only shows whilst driving
the idle air control valve
screwloose suggests the loom to the vss
etc
